Thousands of Jessie J fans packed a muddy Quarry Park in Shrewsbury last night for a sell-out concert by the popular singer.

Thousands enjoy Jessie J Shrewsbury concert

The chart-topping singer and Voice UK judge performed to a crowd of over 11,000 people - one of the largest crowds to attend a concert in Shrewsbury.

Following a day of heavy rain, the clouds broke to leave a dry evening as the support acts 17-year-old A*M*E who is signed to Gary Barlow’s Future Records and Jay James Picton took to the stage before Jessie J.

During her set Jessie J performed her chart-topping hits Price Tag, Do it Like a Dude, Who You Are and smash hit Domino. The concert came to a close with a firework display heard across much of Shrewsbury.

Writing on her twitter account following the concert, the singer said - Tonight was emotional. Thank you Shrewsbury :) xxx

Shrewsbury chocolatier creates handmade Jessie J Toolkit

Before the concert the signer was due to be presented with a handmade Jessie J Toolkit, made by award-winning Shrewsbury-based chocolatier Melanie Fallon.

The gourmet food maker was asked to make the toolkit by Free Radio, one of the event sponsors following Jessie J herself revealing she locked herself in a toilet during Jay-Z and Kanye West's recent tour and was rescued by their security.

The London singer went along with fellow The Voice judge Will.i.am to watch the pair at London's O2 arena when the incident occurred.

Melanie Fallon said “I came up with a toolkit, so that she can fix anything that comes her way’ they’ll be nothing stopping her getting on stage.
