Charity collection box stolen in Whitchurch
Police in Whitchurch have appealed for information after a charity box containing up to £300 was stolen during a burglary at a town shop.

The office in a portable building at the rear of Discount Carpets in Station Road was broken into between about 5.30pm on Saturday 7 July 2012 and 8.45am yesterday.
The offender or offenders made an untidy search before stealing a charity box for Hope House Children's Hospice.
Forensic officers have attended the scene and CCTV from the area is being examined.
Police Constable Charlie Townend, who is investigating the burglary, appealed for anyone who might have witnessed suspicious activity in the area over the weekend to contact police on 101.
"The only thing stolen during the burglary was a Hope House collection box, which contained about £300 in donations for the charity," she said.
"If anyone has seen or heard suspicious persons or vehicles in the Station Road area during the relevant time or has any other information about who was responsible for this crime, please could they contact police on 101.
"Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where a reward is sometimes offered."
