Market Drayton residents turn out to view Sainsbury’s plans
Nearly 300 people viewed Sainsbury’s plans for a new store in Market Drayton at a public exhibition over the weekend.
Members of Sainsbury’s project team were at the Festival Drayton Centre on Friday and Saturday to discuss the proposal with local people who visited the exhibition to view the plan. Comments are currently being analysed and the plans remain on display in the Festival Drayton Centre.
There is still plenty of time for people to feedback their views via the tear-off card in the Sainsbury’s consultation brochure or via the online exhibition at: www.sainsburys-marketdrayton.co.uk . Information leaflets can still be collected from the Festival Drayton centre or from the Sainsbury’s local on Shrewsbury Road.
Andrew Sanderson, Regional Development Executive for Sainsbury’s, said: “We are delighted that so many people came to view the plans and let us know their thoughts. The feedback is still coming in and has been very encouraging. We are looking forward to analysing the comments, to better understand the feelings of the local community, before we review our plans.”
