Bridgnorth sufferes of Ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) will be pleased to hear that the snake which went missing from his home in Bridgnorth has been found.

A snake which went missing from a home in Bridgnorth has been found.

The non-venomous Californian King snake disappeared from its owner's address in Tasley Close on Sunday.

Its disappearance was reported yesterday in the hope someone in the area would spot it and contact the police after he went on an unplanded afternoon slither.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "The snake was found overnight by its owner in the back garden of his home."
