Oswestry Railway Centre targeted by thieves
Police today have issued an appeal for information about the theft of two locomotive boiler parts from the Cambrian Railway Society premises in Oswald Road, Oswestry.

Metal thieves struck the site site between 10pm last Thursdayand 10am yesterday and stole the large, heavy parts from the site.
It's thought they were stolen for their scrap value but will be difficult to replace and are valued at around £1,000.
The unpainted steel parts are for a steam locomotive. One is about four feet long and two inches thick and the other is a metal plate, half-moon in shape with a number of holes in it. Both have the train serial number 2131 stamped on the surface.
Police Constable Mark Moth, the investigating officer, said: "These two items were very heavy and two people are likely to have been needed to lift them onto a vehicle.
"I am appealing to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area which might be connected, or who can help identify the offenders, to contact Oswestry police station on 101.
"Anyone offered these distinctive items for sale should also call the police."
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
