Man attacked during attempted robbery in Shrewsbury
Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old man was attacked by four other men as he walked home from a night out in Shrewsbury.

The victim was hit on the back of the head as he walked passed the car park of The Boat House pub in Porthill between about midnight and 1am this morning.
He turned to find four men in their 20s, who knocked him to the ground and punched and kicked him several times.
He felt hands going through his pockets, which were empty, before managing to get up and run away. The offenders chased him for a short distance before making off.
Police Constable Chris Baldwin, who is investigating the incident, said it was being treated as an attempted robbery nothing was stolen.
"Fortunately, the victim was not seriously hurt and the incident was reported to us some hours later," he said.
"If anyone saw this incident take place or a group of males acting suspiciously in the area, please could they contact police on 101."
The offenders were described as white, wearing hooded tops and tracksuit bottoms and at least two of them had dark hair.
One of them stood out from the others as he was wearing three gold rings on one hand.
Anyone who has information about the incident or any of the four offenders is asked to contact police on 101 or if they wish to remain anonymous, to call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
