Joint road policing operation takes place in Bridgnorth
Police officers in Bridgnorth joined forces with the DVLA and West Mercia Safety Camera Partnership to tackle drivers flouting the law on two of the town's busiest routes.

The A454 to Wolverhampton and the A442 to Kidderminster have both seen several fatal and serious accidents in the past few years.
Police Sergeant Donna-Louise Hankin and other officers from her shift in the multi-agency operation on Thursday 13th September 2012, which also involved specialist traffic officers from West Mercia's Force Operations Support Team.
Dozens of vehicles were stop checked during the course of the day, with one seized for having no insurance and 18 tickets issued for various driving offences, including using a hand-held mobile phone and vehicle defects.
"Both roads are busy, national speed limit roads and have been the location of several serious and fatal collisions over the last few years," said Sergeant Hankin.
"Our operation took a zero tolerance approach to enforcing road traffic offences, while also educating drivers.
"Careless driving can cause serious collisions and we hope the message got across that by committing offences, not only are drivers breaking the law but they are also putting themselves and other road users at risk."
