Thieves steal jewellery worth more than £6000 from Shrewsbury home
Police in Shropshire are investigating following a burglary at an address on Roman Road in Shrewsbury sometime between 9.30am on Saturday and 9am on Monday.

During the time period, thieves forced their way into the house by smashing a window at the rear of the property.
Once inside, it appears the thieves carried out a thorough search before stealing a number of items of jewellery and making their escape.
A police spokesman said: "The total value of the stolen jewellery is thought to be more than £6000. The items stolen include a pear drop shaped gold necklace, a pair of 18 carat gold hooped earrings and a blue topaz silver ring.
"However, perhaps the most distinctive item stolen was a gold ring with a blue stone set between two diamonds with a value of more than £3000.
"We have released a photo of this ring today in the hope that someone recognises it and will return it to the owners or pass it to the police.
"Anyone who believes they may have information about this burglary, or where any of the stolen items can now be found, is asked to call the police immediately.
"Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 148S 170912. Alternatively, please remember that Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111."
