Met Office warns of heavy rain and gales for Shropshire
The Met Office and the Environment Agency are warning for possible disruption and flooding as many areas see 20 - 50 mm of rain falling by the end of today.

Flood alerts were this morning given for the River Teme, River Onny and River Corve & their tributaries upstream of Ludlow. Motorists across Shropshire are reporting poor driving conditions and flooding on some routes.
The Safer Roads Partnership is urging drivers to take extra care and to keep up to date with any news on local radio stations regarding any road closures.
Vicki Bristow from the Safer Roads Partnership comments: “With the recent heavy rainfall and with more forecast for today, we are urging all motorists to take care on affected roads, follow our advice and use their own common sense whilst water levels are still high.”
One school in south Shropshire, Stottesdon CE Primary School, was forced to close following flooding.
Steve Willington, Met Office Chief Forecaster said: "A deep area of low will bring a very unsettled spell of weather to all parts of the UK this week.
“Everyone should be prepared for the effects of heavy rain and strong to gale force winds as they combine to bring the potential for travel disruption and localised flooding over the next few days."
David Jordan, Director of Operations at the Environment Agency said: "We are expecting flooding across the country from this evening and into Monday and Tuesday. We strongly urge people to sign up to flood warnings, keep a close eye on local weather forecasts and be prepared for the possibility of flooding. We also ask that people stay safe, by staying away swollen rivers and not attempting to drive through floodwater.
"The Environment Agency already has teams out on the ground checking on flood defences and clearing any blockages in order to reduce the risk of flooding as much as possible."
