An eleven year old boy has been rescued and taken to hospital after an incident in Low Town, Bridgnorth yesterday evening.

Boy suffers injuries after falling from rope swing in Bridgnorth

The boy suffered serious internal injuries after he fell from a rope swing and rolled down a steep embankment in High Rock woods, Low Town.

He was found by ambulance crews in a difficult location and was eventually rescued and brought to a waiting ambulance with the help and support of HART and ambulance staff.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:

“The boy was taken by ambulance to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further assessment and treatment. A doctor travelled with the boy and the hospital was alerted to the serious condition of the patient.”
