Burglary suspects arrested in Shropshire police operation
Police in Shropshire have arrested two suspects as officers continue to target burglars under Operation Citadel.

Op Citadel was launched by West Mercia Police last month to help counter an increasing number of burglaries in our area.
Preventing burglaries and detecting offenders is one of the Force's top priorities. Although the number of burglaries is up so too are the number of arrests and convictions.
The latest arrests took place yesterday when two men suspected of carrying out unrelated burglaries in Shropshire were apprehended.
A 45-year-old man was detained in Shrewsbury Road, Market Drayton on suspicion of breaking into Jane's Hairdressers in the town's Allen Gardens overnight on September 25.
Police were called after a window was smashed and the premises searched. Although an attempt was made to steal a cash till, nothing was actually taken.
And in a separate incident, a carriage was broken into at the Severn Valley Railway Station in Bridgnorth on August 13. Its door was forced and two internal doors were also forced resulting in £300 damage. Again, nothing was stolen.
Officers investigating the burglary, last night arrested a suspect in Exchequer Street, Birmingham. He was brought back to Shrewsbury police station for questioning.
The two men under arrest have been given police bail while inquiries into the incidents continue.
Although the number of burglaries across Shropshire remains relatively low, Operation Citadel has been introduced to focus on such crimes, to reduce offences, disrupt offenders, promote crime prevention and to increase public awareness.
