Sneak thief steals handbag from car in Shrewsbury
Police have reminded people to keep their parked cars locked at all times, even when left for only a few minutes.

The warning follows an incident on Saturday when a handbag was snatched from a silver VW Passat just moments after the owner had pulled up at a house in Roman Road, Shrewsbury.
A man opened the door and grabbed the bag shortly before 11.30am before running off towards Port Hill. He was seen jumping over a fence into the grounds of Shrewsbury School.
The bag contained a Nokia phone, a purse with about £40, an umbrella, bank cards and various personal items.
The man was white, thought to be in his twenties, about 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build with short hair. He was wearing a blue top and carrying a black and blue coat.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "It only takes a few seconds for a sneak thief to strike, as this incident shows.
"It's important to secure your vehicle at all times when not in use, even if you are at home or have just nipped into a shop for a minute or two. Remember, thieves are looking for opportunities to obtain easy pickings."
Police have appealed for witnesses who may have spotted the thief before or after the offence to contact Shrewsbury police station on 101. Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
