Hundreds of people welcomed back the Donnington based Royal Military Police unit on its return from its tour of Afghanistan last night.

The troops who are members of 174 Provost Company, 3rd Regiment Royal Military Police were met by their families just before 7pm before enjoying a reception.

The Mayor of Telford & Wrekin Cllr Kevin Guy and Council Leader Cllr Kuldip Sahota were among those welcoming home the 115 troops following a six month tour of Afghanistan.

Welcome home banners were also put up along the route they took back to their barracks.
