Severn Trent Water choir is feeling Good after win
Three Severn Trent employees from Shropshire are celebrating today after being part of Severn Trent Water’s choir storming to victory in The Choir: Sing While You Work.

In last night's final episode of The Choir: Sing While You Work on BBC Two, the choir which included Shropshire team members Charlie Spencer, Gemma Hughes and Andy Thompson sang to victory with their rendition of Feeling Good, made famous by Nina Simone, Muse and Michael Buble
This week's grand finale saw the three remaining choirs face their biggest challenge yet, as they took to the stage in front of thousands at one of the world's most prestigious choral music festivals - the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen. Belting out their final notes in the competition, the choirs were each scrutinised by Ruby Turner, Ralph Allwood and Manvinder Rattan, the series judges.
It was a close call with Royal Mail praised for their ability to sing quietly with impact and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust blowing the judges away once again. However, Severn Trent Water's choir rose to the challenge and were complimented on their confidence on stage, fantastic singing and overall accomplished performance. As far are the judges were concerned, it was a unanimous decision.
With each choir given a new song for the final, Royal Mail sung their hearts out to Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust performed For Once in My Life, made famous by Stevie Wonder.
Charlie Spencer who work's for Severn Trent in Shropshire said:
"Not long before we were asked if we wanted to join the choir some people had told me that I wasn't good enough as a singer/performer and I wanted to prove to myself and them that I was. I don't think many people are more qualified to tell you if you are good enough than Gareth.
"Also from a young age I have really enjoyed singing in a choir and when looking last year there wasn't a suitable one in my local area. I didn't know where to start to get into a choir and lacked the confidence to join an auditioned choir. So Gareth coming to Severn Trent gave me a choir I wanted to join with lots of added excitement.
"I have gained a lot of confidence, not just in my voice but in all aspects of my life. It has also reignited my love for playing the piano and listening to different music."
