Shrewsbury road closed following suspected sewer collapse
A Shrewsbury road has today been closed to traffic after a hole appeared in the road.
The Mount in Shrewsbury was closed this morning from the Frankwell Roundabout.
Highways engineers and Severn Trent Water are investigating the cause which is a suspected collapsed sewer main.
A Shropshire Council spokesperson said the road would remain closed until further notice.
During the closure, traffic is being diverted via Copthorne Road and Hafren Road.
