Axe falls on Shrewsbury International Street Theatre Festival
Shrewsbury’s International Street Theatre Festival has come to an end after its director said he could no longer afford to stage the annual event.

Event Director, Bill Ferguson has called time on the event following cuts to funding by both Shropshire Council and the Arts Council.
Thousands of people have descended on Shrewsbury for the past seven years to enjoy a variety of acts which perform throughout the town at the end of August.
This year four stages hosted acts from around the world including America’s Got Talent finalist Snap Boogie, a graffiti artist worked on cars supplied by the public, and stand-up comedian Byron Bertram.
