Drop-in event to help develop new Ludlow Health Facility
Local residents in Ludlow and south west Shropshire are being encouraged to attend a drop-in event today between 4pm and 6pm to find out how they can get involved in helping develop the public spaces, the look and feel and the on-site transport and car parking of the new Ludlow Health Facility.

The Facility, which will include a new hospital and two new GP practices located on the Eco Business Park in Ludlow, is due to open in 2014. The Ludlow Health Forum, chaired by Ludlow MP Philip Dunne, agreed local people should have the opportunity to influence non-clinical aspects of the new development, to make sure that it helps reflect local opinions and thoughts about this important new development which will serve future generations of local residents.
In order to give local people the opportunity to find out about the project, progress to date, what taking part in one of the specific groups entails and to ask any questions they may have, Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust and its development partner Amber Infrastructure are holding the drop in event at The Harley Centre, Ludlow College, Castle Square, Ludlow.
“I would really encourage local people to come along and find out about how they can get involved in this exciting development for Ludlow and south west Shropshire,” comments Stuart Rees, Project Director at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. “We have set up specific groups and welcome local people to join to offer their thoughts and comments on the areas that they can directly influence.”
“The Ludlow Health Forum has tried hard to involve local people in the development plans and inform progress of the project through numerous Forum meetings, public events and consultation activities. This is building on our work to date and will help local people have another very direct impact on the success of this project,” added Philip Dunne MP and Chair of the Ludlow Health Forum. “Anyone is welcome to come along to the event at The Harley Centre at Ludlow College, to find out more about the project and to take part in any of the groups in coming months. I urge those who are interested and have views to contribute to do so.”
