Shropshire motorists urged to take on county's wet roads
Police in Shropshire today advised motorists to take care on the roads following heavy rain and localised flooding on several roads in the county.

Officers attended several reports of flooding on roads during this morning's rush hour.
Roads affected included the A49 at Leebotwood, the A454 near Worfield and the A41 at Tern Hill following a night and morning of significant rainfall.
Although conditions are set to improve, with more rain forecast for tomorrow drivers are warned to drive according to the conditions and avoid driving through flood water.
Inspector Graham Preece said that so far there had been no reports of any persons or vehicles stuck by flood water.
"We advise motorists not to attempt to drive through flood water when there is no way of telling how deep it is. It often looks deceptively shallow and drivers should not take the risk," he said.
"There is also a lot of surface water around so keep a good distance from the vehicle in front, slow down and remember that breaking distances are significantly increased in wet weather.
"Always use headlights in reduced visibility and factor in extra time for any journey you make."
Vicki Bristow from the Safer Roads Partnership said: “We are urging all motorists to exercise caution with the recent heavy rain that has occurred, use common sense and follow our simple advice. Some localised flooding still exists so our advice is to stay alert to local weather and news reports and if your area is experiencing flooding it’s advisable to leave any non essential travel until any flooding has subsided.”
