Police in Bridgnorth have appealed for information after two homes were burgled in broad daylight.

Two Bridgnorth homes burgled in broad daylight

An Apple iPad tablet computer and cash were stolen from a house in Love Lane, which was broken into between about 11.55am and 2.50pm yesterday.

And between about 8.40am and when the householder returned shortly after 4pm the same day, a second home in Southwell Riverside had been burgled and a Packard Bell laptop computer and Nokia mobile phone taken.

Detective Sergeant Lee Holehouse, from Shropshire's Burglary Unit, said police were investigating whether the two incidents were linked.

"Both happened during the daytime when there must have been people around and I ask anyone who might have seen persons acting suspiciously in either location to contact police on 101," he said.

"Likewise, if anyone is offered items for sale similar to any of those stolen, please get in touch. Information can be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you do not wish to contact the police directly and do not want to be identified."
