Not only with the sky be lit up with festive cheer and fireworks, but there will be a range of free family activities on offer between 3.30-7pm.

There will be an opportunity for children and their families to visit Santa and his friendly mascots who will be handing out thousands of chocolate coins donated by Magna foods. Visitors will alos be able to see Santa’s magical grotto display, have their faces painted and enjoy free fairground rides.

Chestnuts will be roasting on an open fire and hot drinks and refreshments will be available for those who attend.

Entertainment will be provided by tribute singer Joanne Rose and DJ roadshow. Carols will also be sung in the local centre with dance troop DNA ready to dance the night away and entertain the crowds.

The event will be officially opened at 6.00pm by MP David Wright and ward councillor Kuldip Sahota and councillor Shaun Davies.

Council Leader Kuldip Sahota who is also ward member for Malinslee, said; “With Christmas just around the corner we took the opportunity to work in partnership with local schools, shops, RMP events and West Mercia Police to spread some festive cheer.

“Christmas can be a very expensive time of year for families across the borough and working co-operatively we are able to hold events for local people to celebrate this holiday season together.

“I am really looking forward to helping to open the event and meet more local residents from across my ward.”
