Police are appealing for information about the theft of a red Mini One car stolen from outside a home in Bridgnorth.

Thieves steal car after breaking into Bridgnorth home

The three-door car, registration number MA03RXY, was taken from an address in Campbell Close between 10.30pm last night and 8.30am today.

Thieves stole the ignition key after breaking into the home. Nothing else is thought to have been taken.

Police in Bridgnorth have appealed for anyone who spotted anything suspicious in Campbell Close overnight or who might have spotted the vehicle, to call 101.

Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson added: "Because cars parked on driveways or on the street outside homes can be a target for burglars, we advise people to hide their vehicle keys away as a precaution rather than leaving lying on a table or worktop where they can easily be found should there be a break-in."
