New Shropshire Bone Cancer Centre appeal launched
An appeal to help fund a new £2million Bone Cancer Centre at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry has been launched.

The new centre will provide a dedicated environment specifically designed for the care of patients suffering from bone tumour's and metastatic disease.
Its location will be near to the main hospital entrance and built to the highest standards. The improved facilities will include en-suite rooms, treatment areas and a garden reflection space.
The Tumour Unit in Oswestry delivers a nationally specialised bone tumour service, one of only five in the UK, with a catchment area of nine million people. The unit also treat people with metastatic disease (where cancer spreads to other organs). The unit is part of the Greater Manchester and Oswestry Sarcoma Service, and the Greater Midlands Cancer Network.
The new Bone Cancer Centre is hoped to be completed by January 2014.
