New Halls multi-million pound HQ to open in March
Leading Shropshire company Halls has announced that its new multi-million pound, state-of-the-art headquarters and fine art salerooms in Shrewsbury will open for business on March 1 next year.

The multi-disciplined company will begin moving from the Welsh Bridge, Shrewsbury to its new headquarters in the Battlefield area of the town in February.
The new 20,000 square feet building, which is adjacent to Shrewsbury Auction Centre, will have two fine art salerooms, dedicated offices, storage space and 110 parking spaces.
“It’s a very exciting time for the company as we prepare to move to our new headquarters in Shrewsbury, which is going to give our profile a major boost,” said David Giles, a director of Halls, who is managing the project.
“Having outgrown our offices at the Welsh Bridge, we are looking forward to moving into a modern building, which is much more accessible to our clients.
“The move will see a major expansion of our fine art department, with a sale calendar to match. Our agricultural and professional departments will also expand in 2013 and there will be a natural synergy by being located on the same site as Shrewsbury Auction Centre.
“Hopefully the expansion of services will create new jobs, but it is too early to say how many.”
Halls’ fine art director Jeremy Lamond is excited by the growth potential offered by the two purpose-built salerooms.
“The new facilities will allow the fine art department to expand and offer a greater sales programme, with more dedicated specialist sales, to our ever-widening national and international market,” he said.
“We will be looking to recruit consultants in several specialist areas as part of our expansion programme to serve the people of Shropshire, Mid Wales and the West Midlands. We aim to be one of the leading regional fine art auction houses outside London.”
