Oswestry drug offender pays back proceeds of crime
An Oswestry man given a suspended prison sentence for possessing cannabis with intent to supply, has had more than £1,200 confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Samuel Huxley, aged 26, from Morda Road, was given a four-month prison sentence and a supervision order of 100 hours unpaid work when he appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court in September.
He pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis, a controlled Class B drug, with intent to supply at Oswestry on May 10 and also to supplying a quantity of cannabis to another.
West Mercia Police applied for a confiscation order to seize money found at Huxley's home when officers carried out a search warrant on May 10.
Confiscation proceedings were held at the crown court last month and he was ordered to pay £1,257.38, which has now been paid.
Mr Chris Battin, a financial investigator with West Mercia's Economic Crime Unit, said today: "During the search warrant, 62 grams of skunk cannabis with a street value of £350 was found at Huxley's home. A quantity of cash totalling £1,257.38 was also seized. In interview, he admitted supplying friends with cannabis.
"The Economic Crime Unit institutes confiscation proceedings against all people convicted of drug trafficking offences in order to ensure the proceeds of their criminality are confiscated and returned to the public purse."
