Emergency services were called to the incident on the A5 in Gobowen, Oswestry shortly after 12.45am.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a single vehicle that had left the carriageway and had been in collision with a tree. The car had come to rest on its roof.

“Two teenage men were out of the vehicle on the crew’s arrival. Ambulance personnel treated the driver of the car for a head injury and the passenger for arm injuries. Both casualties were conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
