Elderly lady victim of unprovoked assault in Albrighton
An elderly lady has suffered cuts and bruises after she was punched in the face on the doorstep of her home in Albrighton.

The unprovoked assault took place after the lady heard a knock on the door of her home in Grange Road at about 5.30pm yesterday.
When she answered, she was struck in the face and knocked to the ground by a young man, who then ran off down the road and out of sight.
Police Constable Alex Sheldon, who is investigating the incident, said:
"This was a nasty and unprovoked attack on an elderly lady in the doorway of her own home and we need to find the offender and bring him to justice," she said.
"The victim, while not seriously hurt, is understandably traumatised and extremely shaken by what happened and anyone who can help is asked to contact police on 101."
PC Sheldon added that another neighbour had heard a knock at their door around the same time but when they had answered it, there was nobody there.
"It is possible that this other incident is linked and anyone who saw a young man in Grange Road that teatime is urged to get in touch as soon as possible."
