A community cardboard recycling initiative is taking place for the second time in Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Shrewsbury cardboard collection to help local charities

Transition Town Shrewsbury is running collection points at a number of locations in the town.

Residents will be able to drop off their cardboard between 9am and 2pm on Saturday 5th January at:

- United Reform Church, Abbey Foregate
- The Red Barn Pub, Longden Road
- Spar Precinct, Castlefields
- Riversway Church, Lancaster Road

Proceeds made from the recycling of the cardboard will be donated to Severn Hospice, Hope House and Friendly Neighbours.

Last year over 11 tons of cardboard was collected during the day.

For more information or to arrange for a home collection call phone Ali Thomas on 07972 858313 or email alison.thomas08@gmail.com
