Car discovered in River Severn at Shrewsbury
Police are organising the recovery of a car from the River Severn in Shrewsbury after it was discovered this morning.

Police were alerted shortly before 11.45am after a member of the public spotted what was thought to be a vehicle in the river off Sydney Avenue.
It was completely submerged with the roof barely visible. Checks by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was a vehicle.
A police underwater search team from South Wales is travelling to Shrewsbury tomorrow morning to help with its recovery.
Inspector James Dunn, of Shrewsbury Police, said: "At the moment, our concern is to safely recover the vehicle and to establish what's inside.
"It is completely submerged in about eight feet of water some 25 feet from the bank, with its roof just visible beneath the surface.
"At this stage, we have not been able to identify the vehicle's make. It's possible it may have been stolen and then dumped in the river and we are checking with neighbouring forces about stolen vehicles.
"However, we have reason to believe it's been in the river for sometime, possibly more than a week."
