Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan is finalised
The pioneering Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan is available to view after a fifteen-month journey involving thousands of volunteer man-hours and continual community engagement.

Earlier this month members of the public got to make final comments before the Draft Plan was finalised.
The policies in the plan will be presented to the Much Wenlock Town Council for endorsement on 31st January. The meeting is open for anyone to attend.
The final plan is available to view on the Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan website: www.wenlockplan.org.
The plan came about after the Department of Communities and Local Government invited local planning authorities in England to submit the names of volunteer local communities to be become vanguards for Neighbourhood Planning.
In February 2011 Much Wenlock Town Council agreed to work with Shropshire Council to becoming a vanguard location for a neighbourhood plan and on 7th April 2011 the first seventeen communities to test neighbourhood planning, a key feature of the Localism Bill, were named by Decentralisation Minister Greg Clark. Much Wenlock was one of these seventeen and was the first in Shropshire.
