Police confirm Telford murder victim was pregnant
Police officers investigating the unexplained death of a woman in Brookside have today confirmed she was pregnant.

The body of Kimberley ‘Kim’ Russell – who was 27 - was discovered after police officers forced their way into an address on Blakemore at just before 4pm on Monday afternoon after a concern for welfare call.
Giving the latest update on the investigation, Detective Inspector Steve Tonks, the senior investigating officer, said:
“Our investigation is ongoing at the present time and although we do not yet know the exact cause of Kim’s death, we are continuing to treat this as a murder investigation while we await the result of further tests.
“I can confirm, however, that Kim was pregnant when she died and clearly this makes her death even more of a tragedy.
“I’d like to reassure local residents that a significant number of resources continue to be dedicated to this investigation and we will continue to use specialist officers until we resolve this case.
“The 33-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday morning as part of this investigation remains in custody at the present time after we were granted an extension to continue questioning him.
“Although officers continue to work hard on every aspect of this case, I would once again like to take this opportunity to ask local people to come forward with any information they have that could help the investigating team.
“Every piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant it seems on the surface, is very important to us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who can offer us information that can help us piece together Kim’s movements in the days leading up to her death, or anything relating to her home address on Blakemore that could be of interest to us.
“Anyone who believes they may have information that could be linked to Kim’s death, is asked to call West Mercia Police as soon as possible on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 326S 110213.
“Alternatively, please remember Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather leave information without identifying yourself.”
