Job lost as Pink Skips goes into receivership
Telford-based recycling firm Pink Skips has entered into receivership it was revealed today.
Around 37 jobs have been lost following the announcement by company bosses.
The family run company is well known across Shropshire and has been trading for over 40 years. The company operates from a £5m state-of-the-art recycling centre in Ketley.
The news that Pink Skips has gone into receivership has meant the Ketley site could not be used to drop off the household recycling from the Telford area today.
Telford and Wrekin residents are being asked to leave out their kerbside recycling until tomorrow for collection.
If as a result, our contractor has missed collecting recycling from any properties, they should leave out their recycling for collection first thing tomorrow, a Telford & Wrekin Council spokesperson said.
Areas that could be affected due to delayed kerbside recycling collections today include Malinslee, Dawley, Dawley Bank, Newport and Church Aston.
