Generators and power tools found hidden in bushes near Oswestry

The property, worth several thousand pounds, is believed to have been stolen and police are appealing for potential owners to come forward.

Police Constable Dan Turner, the investigating officer, said: “It’s likely these goods have been stolen from businesses or perhaps from garden sheds in the Oswestry area or from surrounding districts.

“They include six generators, five chainsaws and other garden equipment such as leaf blowers, strimmers and hedgecutters. They might have been taken from one location or from a number of different sites.

“I am appealing for people to contact me at Oswestry police station on 101 if they have had such items stolen recently. I would also advise people in the area to check their sheds and outbuildings to establish they are not missing such equipment.”

The tools were discovered yesterday in the Ifton area of St Martins.
