Teenager seriously injured in Preston Brockhurst crash
A teenager has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash on the A49 in North Shropshire this morning.

A bronze-coloured Peugeot 106 hatchback, left the road and collided with a road sign before ending up in a field just before the s-bends in Preston Brockhurst at around 6.50am.
The driver, who is in his late teens, suffered multiple life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for treatment.
Police Constable Mark Booth, who is investigating the crash, said the car had been travelling north on the A49 when it left the road.
“At this time it appears that only the one car was involved and I am keen to hear from anyone who might have seen what happened,” he said.
“The road has been closed in both directions and diversions put in place while police collision investigators work at the scene.
“It is expected to remain closed for several hours and we would urge drivers to avoid the area and use an alternative route.”
Anyone who might have seen the Peugeot, which is a distinctive bronzed orange colour, being driven in the area shortly before the collision or who might have witnessed the crash itself is asked to contact police on 101.
