Two suffer stab wounds during incident in Dawley

The incident occurred at around 10.20pm on Saturday as the two men – aged 24 and 28 – walked onto Bank Road having left the Bulls Head public house where they had been drinking.

As they made their way from Milners Lane towards Bank Road, the two men became involved in an altercation and as a result of this one of the men suffered a stab wound to his neck, while the other suffered a wound to his thigh and cuts to his face.

Police say that neither suffered life threatening injuries although both men did require stitches to repair their wounds.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause GBH in connection with this incident and he has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information about this incident, especially anyone who witnessed the incident itself or anything that may have caused it, is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting reference number 801S 020313.

Alternatively, please remember Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you'd rather leave information without getting directly involved yourself.
