New Parliamentary Delegation for Shrewsbury MP
Shrewsbury & Atcham MP Daniel Kawczynski has been appointed by the Prime Minister, to the Parliamentary delegation of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCEPA).

With 57 States from Europe, Central Asia and North America, the OSCE is the world's largest regional security organisation. It offers a forum for political negotiations and decision-making in the fields of early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management, election monitoring and post-conflict rehabilitation, and puts the political will of its participating States into practice through its unique network of field missions. The participation of the United Kingdom is well respected due to the strength of its national bodies in the areas of OSCE’s interests.
With the other members of the UK Delegation to the OSCEPA, Daniel will work closely with Parliamentarians from the 56 other participating states to assess the implementation of the OSCE objective and ensure the United Kingdom’s annual contribution to the OSCE’s budget is used as efficiently and strategically as possible. As a full member of the delegation, Daniel will also sit on the Democracy, Human Rights, and Humanitarian Questions Committee where he will be responsible for participating in election monitoring missions, and addressing humanitarian and human rights-related threats to security.
Responding to the announcement, the Shrewsbury MP commented:
“I am very grateful to have been chosen by the Prime Minister for this post. Conflict prevention, post conflict rehabilitation, combating terrorism, promoting good governance and protecting human rights are essential to maintaining global stability.
As a member of the UK delegation to the OSCEPA, I wholly intend for Britain to have a full role in sustaining this effort”
Daniel is currently the Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Libya and Saudi Arabia, and the British Middle East North Africa Council.
