Police investigating an indecent exposure incident in Shrewsbury today issued an appeal for witnesses.

Police witness appeal after man exposes himself to woman in Shrewsbury

They are seeking information to help identify a man on a bike who exposed himself to a 29-year-old woman as she was walking in Oakley Street.

The incident happened at around 7.15pm on Saturday. The man, thought to be aged around 35 or 40, followed her along Belle Vue Road, BelleVueGardens, Raby Crescent and Oakley Street.

He then rode past before returning and committing the offence.

Sergeant Claire Greenaway said: “We are anxious to find the individual involved and are appealing for any information which might assist our inquiries.

“Although he made no attempt to physically assault the victim, it is a particularly disturbing incident as he followed her for some distance beforehand.”

The man is thought to have been wearing dark trousers, a jumper, dark woolly hat and had a scarf around his face.

Contact Shrewsbury police station on 101 or call the anonymous Crimestoppers charity, 0800 555 111.
