Police investigate spate of burglaries in Belle Vue
Police in Shrewsbury today warned residents in the Belle Vue area of Shrewsbury to tighten up on security following three reported burglaries in the area.

One house and two sheds were broken into and in a separate incident, two men were disturbed as they attempted to get into a house.
It’s thought all the incidents happened overnight on Wednesday into the early hours of yesterday and are likely to be linked.
A house in Oakley Manor Gardens was entered through an insecure ground floor window. Several rooms were searched and a Macbook lap top worth £1,000 and seven El Cacique cigars worth £30 stolen.
The padlock on a shed in Oakley Street was prised and a yellow and green telescopic handled branch cutter stolen. The padlock and securing bolt were also taken.
A padlock was also removed from a garden shed at a home in South Hermitage but nothing was stolen.
Two men were spotted trying to open the back door of a house on Belle Vue Road just after 2am yesterday. They fled towards Hereford Road on being disturbed. One was said to be wearing a cream baseball cap and the other was described as shaven headed.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: “It’s as well residents in the Belle Vue are aware of this mini spate of burglaries and that they taken every precaution to protect their property.
“We are also appealing to anyone who spotted anything suspicious which might be connected to these crimes, or has information about the identities of those involved, to contact Shrewsbury police station by calling 101.”
Details can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
