CCTV images released following attempted burglary in Wellington
British Transport Police officers are appealing for information after an attempted burglary at a café at Wellington rail station.

Investigators have today released CCTV images of two people they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place overnight on Thursday, 21 February.
Investigating officer PC Emma Harper, of BTP Shrewsbury, said: “When staff of the Platelayer café on platform 2 arrived at work around 7am on Friday, 22 February, they noticed that the door had been damaged.
“Upon further inspection, it was clear this damage had been caused by someone trying to force entry to the café.
“Having carried out a number of enquiries, we have identified two people we believe may have key information in relation to the theft.
“I would now like to appeal to members of the public to come forward and help us identify these people, who we believe can assist us with this investigation.

“Not only have the café owners had to repair the damaged door at a cost of £250, but this incident has dented their sense of security and peace of mind,” added PC Harper.
“Times are tough enough for retailers as it is with the country in recession, without having to contend with people who think it’s acceptable to attempt to steal from small businesses.”
