Two arrested following drugs warrant in Ketley Bank
Two men were arrested yesterday morning after a drugs warrant was executed in Ketley Bank.

The two men – aged 26 and 42 – were arrested after officers from proactive CID at Malinsgate Police Station forced entry to a property on West Road at just after 7am.
On entering the address, officers discovered an elaborate drugs cultivation set-up in a number of rooms and around 150 well developed cannabis plants in situ.
The two men were immediately arrested on suspicion of production/cultivation of cannabis and taken into custody. They have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A dog – an Alsatian – that was being used as a guard dog at the property was also seized at the scene and it has now been placed in kennels due to concerns for its welfare.
Temporary Detective Inspector Greg Lane, from proactive CID in Telford, said:
“We executed this warrant as a result of intelligence we have received and developed in recent weeks.
“We will not tolerate criminality and the use of illegal drugs in Telford and I hope the two arrests we made in relation to drugs offences demonstrate this fact. Drugs are at the centre of most criminal activity and if we receive information that drugs are being used, we will seize the substances and prosecute.
“We take drug crime very seriously and act on any information received from members of the public. Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams play a key role in tackling this type of crime as they are the eyes and ears of West Mercia Police in local communities and are often the source of the information we act upon.
“Anyone who has any concerns regarding drug crimes - or criminality of any sort - should call us immediately. However, we acknowledge that some people do not want to get involved or give their name, so Crimestoppers provides the means for anyone to pass information about suspicious activity or crime with a guarantee of anonymity.
“It is important that people call us with information, because it is ultimately their help that enables us to carry out operations and make arrests - therefore helping us to disrupt, prevent and detect crime. Information can be passed to Police directly by calling 101 or 0300 333 3000, or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
