Police investigate Oswestry dangerous driving incident
Police in Oswestry have appealed for witnesses after a car was reported driving dangerously around the town centre at high speeds, colliding with at least one other vehicle and narrowly missing a pedestrian.

Several people reported the incident to police on Tuesday 12 March, with the metallic blue saloon allegedly making repeated ‘circuits’ of the town at about 1pm, along Willow Street, Church Street, Smithfield Road and Festival Square, among others.
Police Constable Scott Harrower, who is investigating the incidents, said the driver had also failed to stop after colliding with at least one other vehicle.
“One pedestrian called police to say they had been forced to jump out of the path of the vehicle as it came around a corner at high speed,” he said.
“From the reports to police, it appears fortunate that there was not a serious accident involving the car that afternoon.
“The town would have been busy at the time and I am keen to hear from anyone else who saw the car being driven in this manner. Please contact Oswestry Police Station on 101.
“We are examining CCTV from the town centre and are in the process of identifying the man driving the car.”
Anyone who saw the vehicle, which also had a spoiler on the back, being driven around the town that day is asked to contact police on 101.
