Three commended for saving premature Shropshire baby
Three West Midlands Ambulance Service staff members based at Donnington in Telford have been commended for their part in helping deliver and save the life of a premature baby.

The three were tested to the full last September when they were called to a mother giving birth during her 23rd week of pregnancy.
The time is normally far below the time regarded as a ‘survivable birth’. Given the very difficult circumstances, the team set to work delivering and then ventilating the new born as well as treating the mother.
Mother and baby were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where they spent many weeks before being discharged.
