Two sought following attempted robbery in Bridgnorth
Police officers are appealing for information after an attempted robbery on Cartway in Bridgnorth on Monday.

Sometime between 10.30pm and 11pm, as the victim – a 25-year-old man – made his way home from Low Town he became aware of two unknown men who seemed to be following him.
He had first become aware of them as he passed the Cinnamon Café.
One of the men asked the victim for a cigarette but the victim explained he did not smoke. The man then asked what the victim could hand over but then without warning the victim felt himself being hit to the side of the head.
A police spokesman said:
“After being hit, the victim then became aware that two men were trying to steal the rucksack he was carrying off his back.
“The victim fought back and refused to release his rucksack and eventually the two men were forced to flee the scene without stealing anything.
“Although shaken by this incident the victim has been able to give officers a description of the two men that tried to take his rucksack. Both men are described as being white, aged in their late teens and as being between 5ft 8 and 5ft 10inches tall.
“Significantly both men are described as wearing the same style of waterproof rain jacket - one of them was wearing a black or dark blue one and the other a white one.
“Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may know the identity of the two men involved.
“Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting reference number 618S 250313.
“Alternatively, please remember Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you'd rather leave information without getting directly involved yourself.”
