Cross Street in Oswestry has been temporarily closed after sections of guttering fell from some buildings.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and Shropshire Council closed the road from about 2pm on Monday as a precaution, and pedestrians are being advised not to use the road.
Building surveyors are due to check the situation on Tuesday.
