Staff member threatened during Wellington shop robbery
Police in Telford are investigating after a robbery in Wellington on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at the Haybridge News shop on Haybridge. At just after 5.30pm, an unknown man with his face covered entered the shop and approached the counter. He immediately threatened a male member of staff and demanded money out of the till.
The man told the staff member he had a knife and then reached over the counter and opened the till.
It appears the thief grabbed between £100 and £150 out of the till before fleeing the scene and making off down an alleyway on the other side of the road that leads onto a path that runs alongside the disused railway line.
A police spokesman said:
“Although he did not actually see a knife the man from the shop was left shaken by this incident. However, he has been able to give us a description of the man that carried out this robbery.
“The man is described as being white, around 5ft 5inches tall, of medium build and as wearing black jogging bottoms and a black hooded top with two blue stripes down the side.
“At this stage police do not know whether this robbery is linked to any others that have taken place recently but they will be looking at possible links as part of their investigation. They are also looking for possible CCTV footage of this incident to see if this can help them identify the offender.
“Anyone who believes they may have information about this incident is asked to contact police officers in CID in Telford on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 121N 060413.
