Masked robbers target Albrighton convenience store
Staff at an Albrighton convenience store were forced into a back room and had their mobile phones taken off them during a masked robbery early this morning.

Staff members at Spar in High Street were grabbed and forced into a back room between about 6am and 6.30am during the robbery involving at least two masked men.
The offenders, who were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered, then stole a large amount of cigarettes and cash, although the exact amount has yet to be established.
Police say its possible they left the scene in a black or dark coloured car, possibly new shape a Volkswagen Passat or similar, which they had parked at the back of the store.
They also took staff members’ mobile phones, one of which was later found discarded in nearby Kingswood following a search of the surrounding area by police.
Detective Sergeant Dave Meyer, from West Mercia Police, said shop staff had been left shaken but nobody had been injured and no threats had been made by the offenders.
“Two offenders approached staff shortly after they arrived for work, grabbing them and pushing them into a back room,” he said.
“They then stole a large amount of cigarettes and some cash from the store, although the exact total of what was taken is not yet known, before making off in their car.
“CCTV from the shop and surrounding area is being examined and anyone who might have seen suspicious activity early this morning or in the days leading up to the incident is urged to contact police on 101.”
