Police issue witness appeal over Homer village burglary
Police are seeking help from residents of a Shropshire village after cash and jewellery were stolen from a local home.

They believe people living in the small village of Homer, near Much Wenlock may have seen a suspicious vehicle or strangers in the area and may be able to provide vital information to the investigating officers.
About £1,500 and some jewellery were taken in the burglary which happened shortly before 9.30pm last night. Police also believe the offenders may have been in the locality on Wednesday night checking out properties.
Detective Inspector Mark Bellamy said: “It’s believed three men broke into the property through a door and almost certainly would have had a getaway vehicle nearby. It’s also possible they were in the village the night before.
“I am urging local residents to call Shrewsbury CID on 101 if they recall seeing anything suspicious in the village, or indeed, any strangers hanging around.
“In a small rural community like Homer, the offenders are likely to have been seen by someone.
“I am appealing to villagers to cast their minds back and if they did spot anything which seemed out of the ordinary or strange, to please give us a call.”
