Man suffers injury during fight in Wellington

At just after 3am, a fight broke out on Tan Bank near Pussycats Nightclub that involved a number of people.

Although the disorder did not last long due to the quick arrival of police officers, at some point during the course of the disorder a 17-year-old man was hit with an implement of some sort, causing the cut to his face.

The man suffered injuries including a cut to his right eye that required several stitches.

Officers investigating this incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen this disorder, or anyone who may know what caused it in the first place.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 107S 210413.

Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather pass on information without identifying yourself.
