Ward changes take place at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital
Changes to the configuration of wards at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital are being made today to help improve capacity and patient flow.

The Acute Medical Unit (AMU), Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), Surgical Short Stay (SSS) and wards 22, 25 and 28 will all be moving to new locations.
The move is set to help the hospital manage the recent capacity and patient flow issues. It is hoped the move will reduce delays for patients and reduce the number of cancelled operations.
The move is expected to be completed by mid afternoon.
Visiting times will be unchanged and all signage around the hospital will be changed.
