Signed Steinberger guitar up for auction in Shrewsbury today
A Steinberger electric guitar signed by Guns N’ Roses, Black Sabbath, Spinal Tap and Swedish musician Yngwie Malmsteen is expected to get bidders rocking at a leading Shropshire fine art auction house today.

The guitar, which was won by the vendor as first prize in a California radio station competition, is valued at up to £500 and will go under the hammer at a auction of toys, musical instruments and car mascots at Shrewsbury auction house Halls on May 1.
Designed and manufactured by Ned Steinberger between 1998 and 2000, the distinctive guitar has no head and the strings are locked at the top and bottom in such a way that it cannot go out of tune. It also has a built in locking Tremolo and a high tech electronic pick up.
Halls’ musical instruments and toys specialist Stewart Orr is expecting keen interest in the guitar due to its quality and the famous rock musicians who have signed it.
