Police officers investigating the death of a man in Shrewsbury on Saturday night have confirmed that he has now been formally identified.

A major investigation was launched when emergency services were called to the Reabrook Avenue area of the town after a 64-year-old local man – now named as Mr Robert Barlow - was found with serious injuries at just after 10.50pm on Saturday.
Mr Barlow received emergency medical treatment at the scene, a short time later he was pronounced dead by paramedics.
An area on Reabrook Avenue and near the cashpoint close to the CineWorld Cinema was sealed off while police officers carried out investigative work throughout Sunday and into Monday morning.
The family of Mr Robert Barlow today paid tribute to him saying: "We are devastated by the tragic loss of a much loved husband and father. His death has left a big hole in our lives.
"Rob was a quiet, gentle man with many eclectic interests and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
"At this time we would like to ask for privacy to grieve and begin to deal with our loss."
Speaking about the investigation into Mr Barlow’s death, Detective Inspector Mark Bellamy, from CID in Shrewsbury, said:
“Although Mr Barlow’s body has now been formally identified, work is still ongoing to establish the exact cause of his death.
“A significant number of officers continue to work on this investigation and we will not rest until we have established exactly what did happen on Saturday night.
“The man and woman we arrested on Sunday remain in custody at the present time and investigative work is ongoing as we follow up various lines of enquiry.
“Although arrests have been made in this enquiry, I would once again like to reiterate the fact that we remain keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have information that could aid our investigation into Mr Barlow’s death.
“Anyone who believes they may have information about this incident, particularly anyone who saw a group of three or four males in the area of Rea Street at around 10.30pm on Saturday night, is asked to call West Mercia Police quoting incident number 772S 180513.
“Alternatively, pleased remember that Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather pass on information without identifying yourself.”
